6″ IC Air-Tight Dedicated Remodel housings are designed for use with all 6″ Nora Lighting LED retrofit luminares. IC housings are high quality, light weight units ideal for use in insulated ceilings. Airtight construction reduces energy costs by reducing the amount of air escaping through the ceiling. Rated for direct contact with insulation and combustive materials, Nora Remodel IC housings install into existing drywall or wood ceilings with no above access.

SPECIFICATION :

CONSTRUCTION
Housing:
0.040 steel housing adjusts to a maximum ceiling thickness of 1-5/8” (41mm). Housing terminates at a 1/4” ceiling flange for even positioning of housing angle within the ceiling. Structural arm consists of 0.050 steel and connects to housing with junction box. Integral spring brackets provided.

Air Flow Restriction:
Meets requirements of Air-Tight (AT) <2CFM (cubic feet per minute) in accordance with ASTM-283 AirTight requirements.

Clearance:
“IC” Insulated ceiling housings are direct contact rated. Not to be used in direct contact with spray foam insulation.

Mounting:
Four high tension tempered steel springs secure remodel housing to 1-5/8” thick (max.) ceiling (Hole cutout template provided for convenience)

Junction Box:
Prewired 15 cubic inch 0.064” thick galvanized steel, with six 1/2”, one 3/4” knockouts, four Romex® pryouts, and snap on covers. All leads are #18AWG wire, the ground wire is connected to the bottom, and quick connectors are supplied on all leads. Through branch circuit wiring, (3-in, 3-out).
