Their gasketed surface provides a water-tight seal against the box surface. Orbit Industries’ sealing locknuts allow standard junction boxes to be used with unthreaded conduit knockout openings in wet locations. Serrated teeth on the locknut bite into the box and enclosure to prevent vibratory loosening of the connection.
