NSI-1252/JB Product Description

Rectangular, louvered step light suitable for use on stairs, wall bases, or any application requiring a low profile, recessed fixture providing safe illumination in indoor dark areas.
Addition of junction box allows for daisy-chain of consecutive fixtures eliminating necessity of connecting each unit directly to master electrical panel.

Housing
1. Housing - Fixture housing is constructed of .040 galvanized steel. Internal brackets accept
high tension torsion springs for trim installation.
2. Mounting - For recessed mounting only into vertical walls. Integral brackets provide for optional installation hardware.
Note: insulation must be kept a minimum of 3” from all surfaces of lighting fixture and 1/2” from adjacent building components.

Wall Thickness : Step Light accept 5/8” standard drywall thickness.

Electrical System
1. Socket – Porcelain medium base socket with interior nickel screw shell, horizontal configuration.
2. Junction Box - Integral 25 cu. in. junction box .060 galvanized steel with three 1/2”, two 1”, and four Romex connecting pryouts. Electrical connections are made through one side of the junction box wrap. Green wire provided for installation with ground wire fed through PVC pipe conduit or Romex cable.

Bar Hangers : Bar hanger brackets accept flat bar hangers for installation to joist or stud constructions.

Lamp : One 25W incandescent lamp (Ordered Separately).

Louver Trim : Trim constructed from heavy duty .040” steel. Five blade louvers extend 1/8” from trim face for a low profile appearance. White powder coat finish.

Glass Lens
Frosted tempered lens secured with gaskets makes fixture suitable for indoor wet location
environments.
