NHPV-418EL Product Description

Architectural 4 inch vertical down light rated for use with one quad or triple tube lamp. Use in non insulated ceiling, where insulation can be kept 3″ from fixture, and 1/2″ from adjacent building components.

Plaster Frame
Architectural quality 0.050 galvanized steel ring riveted to elevated 0.064 steel junction box and ballast tray.

Clearance
Non-IC housings require a minimum clearance of 3″ around from thermal insulation and 1/2″ from combustible material from above the fixture.

Socket Cup
Socket clips into reflector for optimal light performance. Die-cast aluminum construction for heat dissipation.

Mounting
Universal brackets accept two channel bar hangers or flat bar hangers (not included), or simple rigid 1/2″ steel conduit for tie-down to ceiling grids. The frame may also be supported with aircraft structural cable for drop panel ceilings or any other application requiring direct support from a structural ceiling.

Junction Box
Pre Wired 25 cubic inch 0.064″ thick galvanized steel, with five 1/2″, two 3/4″ knockouts, four Romex® pryouts, and snap on covers. All leads are #18AWG wire, the ground wire is connected to the bottom, and quick connectors are supplied on all leads. Through branch circuit wiring, (4-in, 4-out).

Electronic Ballast
Thermally protected, electronic high power factor, universal input voltage ranging from 120V/277V, 60Hz with an end of life protection. Class P, 13-42 Watts maximum.

EMERGENCY
Emergency back-up operates one lamp for a minimum of 90 minutes. The unit includes a battery, charger and test plate with an indicator light or integral test switch (EMI). Emergency ballasts are for dry locations. EM – Emergency ballast with test plate, up to 650 lumens EM 2 – Emergency ballast with test plate, up to 1300 lumens
